Joshua Brooks, PT
Joshua Brooks is a Physical Therapist who grew up in the Lakes Region area and attended Newfound Regional High school. Joshua competed in ski racing and was an avid cyclist during his high school years, but now enjoys skiing with his daughters at Gunstock and tries to get out as often as he can cycling the local roads around town. While still in High school in 1992 he joined the United States Army Reserve as a soldier and Pharmacy Technician. He attended Basic Training at Fort Dix New Jersey between his 11th and 12th grade of High school, completed high school and then left for six months of Pharmacy training in Texas.

Joshua worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Lakes Region General Hospital for six years while earning his Bachelors degree in Biology and then his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in the first class offered for Physical Therapy in the State of New Hampshire at Notre Dame College in Manchester. He then worked as a Physical Therapist at Lakes Region General Hospital in the position of Program/Staff Development.

Joshua was commissioned as a Physical Therapist in 2002 and later promoted to Captain in the United States Army in 2006. His Army Physical Therapy services have taken him to places like Germany, Louisiana, and Wisconsin while he provided care to military service members. Joshua served as a board member of the New Hampshire State Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association and was also elected Chapter President where he served for four years.

After eleven years of being in the Physical Therapy department at Lakes Region General Hospital, he left in 2011 to join the Granite State Physical Therapy group. Joshua is eager to continue the excellent care he has provided to the Lakes Region and other areas, and excited to continue work with patients he has served and physician groups he has collaborated with.
