Our Athletic Trainers

In May of 2018, Madisen was named Plymouth State’s Outstanding Non-Traditional Graduating Student. Madisen also received two Associate’s Degrees (General Studies, Pre-Sports Med) from Northern Essex Community College in 2016. Madisen is a graduate of Pelham High School’s class of 2012 (Pelham, NH) where she was a four-year member of the field hockey team. Madisen’s passion for athletics and eventual career in athletic training stemmed from her time playing field hockey and getting to know the athletic trainer at Pelham High School.
As the Director of Athletic Training for Granite State Physical Therapy, she manages the athletic training staff and coordinates coverage for multiple junior hockey programs in New Hampshire. Madisen enjoys the acute care aspect of athletic training and is interested in treating various sports injuries with alternative therapies and exercise.
When not treating athletes or providing coverage for games and practices, Madisen enjoys tending to her houseplants and gardens, weightlifting, paddle boarding and fishing, and spending time with her husband and sons.

As the athletic trainer at Bow High School, Julia manages more than 30 varsity and sub-varsity athletic teams. She helps athletes prevent, manage, and recover from injuries through acute and emergency care, designing rehab plans, and education on proper health maintenance in and out of season. She also provides medical coverage for junior hockey programs across NH.
Julia’s favorite part of athletic training is building trusting relationships with her athletes and watching them regain confidence on the field after an injury. Her passion for athletic training and sports medicine was sparked by her own experiences with injury during her soccer career. After working with sports medicine professionals to get back onto the field, she was inspired to help others overcome their setbacks and rebuild confidence just as she did.
Outside of work, Julia enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, watching the NFL, and exploring local coffee shops.

Since 2019, Madeline has maintained her Athletic Training Certification (ATC), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and Racquet Sports Professionals Association (RSPA, formerly United States Professional Tennis Association) in good standing. Madeline played and coached tennis for Salem State University, which led to her special research interest in athlete and exercise biomechanics. This interest inspired Madeline to pursue additional certifications including her Racquetfit and Burdenko Method certifications.
Madeline serves as an athletic trainer for Belmont High School and New Hampshire junior hockey programs.

Bethany holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Colby-Sawyer College, where she graduated cum laude as part of a dual-degree program in 2024. She went on to earn her Master’s in Athletic Training from Plymouth State University in 2025, where she was inducted into Tau Alpha Chi, the athletic training honor society.
Throughout her academic career, Bethany demonstrated leadership as Vice President of the Exercise and Health Sciences Club, a Student Emerging Leader with the New Hampshire Athletic Trainers’ Association, and a representative to the Eastern Athletic Training Association Student Delegation, where she also served as conference chair. She was a member of the BOLD Women’s Leadership Network, as well as a three-year starter on the varsity women’s rugby team at Colby-Sawyer College, bringing her personal athletic experience to her practice.
In addition to her clinical and academic pursuits, Bethany enlisted in the New Hampshire Army National Guard in 2021, where she continues to serve as a Signal Support Systems Specialist Team Chief.
Bethany is a 2020 graduate of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in Massachusetts, where she was an active member of several honor societies and multiple athletic teams. Her passion for sports medicine began during her time as a student-athlete, captaining the men’s wrestling team and competing in other sports, including softball, field hockey, and volleyball. After sustaining a series of injuries, she was introduced to her school’s athletic trainer and was immediately inspired. She began shadowing the athletic trainer, sparking a passion that continues to fuel her work today.
Bethany is deeply committed to advocating for youth athletes, especially those who may be overlooked or pressured to play through injuries. Her goal is to promote long-term health and empower student-athletes with the knowledge and care they need to succeed both on and off the field.
Outside of work, she enjoys exercising, kayaking, researching, and spending time with friends and family.
